Hi everybody,

if, like me, you enjoy to ride or to walk on Yushan every week
but, like me, you really don't understand how the people can make this beautiful scenic so dirty !!!!!!! confused

Then, join us this Saterday morning (Nov 5th) for a big operation CLEAN YUSHAN cheers

I organize it with one part of my team, some friends, some customers and the Changshu Volonteers,
maybe more than 100 people !
You have just to come in Auchan Huanghe lu, Saterday, 8:00am,
and after we take charge, bus to Yushan, 5 groups, we plan to finish at 12:00,
and you will get a coupon for lunch in the Xinfu temple (noodles) Razz
If you need the bus will go back to the store around 2:00pm.

Just if you plan to come, send me a mail, we need to know exactly how many peoples.
I hope you can support us, if we get a good results we will try to organize twice a year.

See you !!

Arnaud.

Hi, I am new here, but i am not expat. hehe... welcome or not?
Today's cleaning job was very good, I think we should have this activity to clean mountain more frequently like once a month, then maybe one year later, i think most of people wont throw garbage when they enjoy the view on mountain. As a chinese, I say protecting environment is from people's mind first, this will take not long time in the future. sure.

Sure you are welcome !!
I would like organize it more frequently, but I can't take charge alone with my team,
if we want do often we need a big support from the city governement,
I'm not sure it's their priority.....

Also, I'm really not sure than environment problem is a priority for most of the chinese people,
my meaning is not everybody must be a strong environmentalist (I'm not!),
but just take care in the daily life with some simple action.

Step by step, I know, but that will take a very long time I think.

Indeed, I guess most of us are not the "greenest" ... But there is one thing that we do agree on ... It is much more pleasant to enjoy the local environment if it is clean instead of biking, trekking or even just going around downtown in a place that sometimes looks more like a trash yard than anything else ...

In France to get the message through (maybe not understood), people would go and collect the trash in Yushan, regroup all of it in some trucks and dump it in front of the city hall ... Not sure (or maybe I do) what kind of "welcome" we would get from the local authorities, but at least the message would be clear ...

I know that some persons of the government keep an eye on this forum and also some members of various Changshu districts are registered on it ... So, it is worth what it is worth, but if some people have some things to say, don't hesitate Very Happy There are some local ears listening to us ...

Ture, most of us are not perfect, imagine one ppl did simple action in daily life, step by step, day by day, he would influence himself and others around him. If tourists on Yushan saw us cleaning mountain voluntary often, they will think more when throwing a bottle or plastic bag....... start from "me", start from simple things.

I dont understand, what kind of supporting we have to get from some related institution to make a better city?

We could get a lot of support,
on the TV (they did the minimum job this time...even didn't come to check the result), news paper, City bus to bring the people, Advertising in the mountain for this action......
Auchan has paid 2000 for bus and lunch, sure I can't pay every month pale
Don't worry, you can be sure next time I will prepare in advance, with some people not from Auchan (you...)
and push a lot to get some support and organize a crazy big action cheers

Arnaud.
